Try These 8 Daily Anxiety-Reduction Techniques to Help You Worry Less
Have you ever tried an anxiety-reduction technique? It may be a good idea to try, especially if you answer, "Yes," to any of these questions.
Do you tend to be a worrier?
Do you experience more anxiety than you’re comfortable handling?
Have you ever had a period in your life where things seemed to be spiraling out of control?
Where no matter what you tried, you ended up feeling highly anxious, discouraged, or angry?
If so, I completely understand.
Recently, I've been facing some obstacles and situations and the results I desire are taking longer than I want to manifest.
Though in general I feel thankful for the good in my life, some days I find myself thinking,
“Why isn’t this going the way I want?”
“Why can’t I stop dwelling on this?”
It can feel frustrating, for sure…
One Positive Action
Take a power nap!
Yes, it’s totally okay to give yourself permission to rest! If you’re feeling drained, a quick 10-15 minute nap can be just the recharge you need to bounce back with fresh energy and focus.
Think of it as a mini reset for your brain, giving you that extra boost to tackle the rest of your day. It’s amazing what a quick 15 mins can do to lift your mood, sharpen your mind, and even improve memory. The best part? You don’t need to feel guilty about it, rest is an important part of productivity!
Companies like Google have done the legwork for you and their research shows that taking a nap results in happier, more productive, and focused work, and even have gone so far as to have dedicated nap spaces. (must be nice!)
So, if you’re dragging, don’t reach for another cup of coffee, instead, embrace the idea that sometimes the most productive thing you can do is to rest. Set a timer, (this is key, if I try this without, I wake up 3 hours later, confused) find a comfy spot, and let yourself recharge.
