One Positive Action

The 10% Rule

You don’t have to overhaul your whole life to feel better. Most of the time, what you actually need is a single adjustment that lightens your load just a little or just a moment of honesty with yourself about what’s no longer working. Big transformations always start with one small, deliberate change, and that' is our focus today.

Ask yourself: What would make life 10% easier right now? Not perfect, not fixed; just easier. It could be as simple as meal prepping, finally scheduling that appointment you’ve been avoiding, or deleting an app that’s been draining your time and energy. It doesn’t have to be profound to make a difference.

Our brains like to believe that relief only comes from big changes, but that’s not always true. It’s the small, sustainable actions (the ones you can actually maintain) that build tangible change over time. When things feel overwhelming or you feel paralyzed by life, the 10% rule gives you a way forward that’s doable.

Today, ask yourself, what would make life 10% easier? Then do it. Don’t overthink it or wait for the perfect time. Pick one small thing that would bring relief or simplicity, and act on it. Tiny improvements compound and that 10% shift often opens the space for big change.
