Don't Think You're Good Enough? Change Your Thoughts & Increase Your Self-Worth

Most people struggle on some level with not feeling good enough.

For some, this belief simmers just under the surface their entire life. They view things from this “I am not worthy” perspective that got skewed usually somewhere in childhood.

Others only deal with this type of thinking occasionally. Maybe they had an ultra-harmonious upbringing with parents who were quite healthy emotionally.

Regardless, we are all worthy and “good enough,” just because of who we are as spiritual beings journeying through life as humans

An Easy 20-Minute Sheet Pan Tilapia That’s Good for Your Mind | Mental Health Recipes

Some days, cooking feels like the last thing you want to do. Your brain is fried, your energy is out, and the idea of standing in a kitchen just… no.

One Positive Action

Let Yourself Be Proud

Does pride make you feel uncomfortable? You finish something, or follow through on a goal, and instead of sitting with it, you move the bar. You tell yourself it was not that big of a deal. You focus on what still needs work and downplay your accomplishment before anyone else can.

If you never allow yourself to feel proud, your brain never registers progress. It keeps chasing the next target without recognizing how far you have come. That creates constant pressure and very little satisfaction.

Pride in yourself also builds internal trust. When you recognize your own growth, you rely less on outside validation. You start to believe yourself when you say you can do hard things because you have tangible evidence.

The discomfort around pride often comes from habit. If you are used to self-correction, acknowledgment can feel foreign. While it might feel wrong, it might just mean that it’s new to you.

Before the day ends, write down one thing you did well. Read the sentence once and let it stand on its own. Welcome that feeling of pride, even if it’s just a small whisper to start.
