17 Signs You're Stronger Than You Give Yourself Credit For

Let’s face it, life can be brutal sometimes – beating down, and even breaking some of the strongest of us. Society can be hard and indifferent, always sending new challenges and obstacles our way.

Sometimes it feels like we never get a break from all the problems in life, with unexpected troubles hurtling towards us.

Other times it's just us with our weaknesses and flaws. Maybe we just aren't cut out for that kind of challenge. Maybe we have grown weary over the years…

Positively Uplifting Stories | March 24 2025

The world is filled with compassionate people.

They are the ones who care for the well-being of others and work to alleviate the suffering of those in need.

Every week, we highlight the stories of such kind-hearted people who drive positive change in the world and remind us of our interconnectedness.

In separateness lies the world’s greatest misery; in compassion lies the world’s true strength. — Buddha

Take a look at this week’s uplifting stories…

One Positive Action

Write out your priorities for the week:

If you want to have a productive, fulfilling week, don’t just dive in and hope for the best, take a few minutes to set your course. Instead of spending your week reacting to whatever comes up, you’ll be proactively moving toward the things that will most bring you success and happiness.

Start by asking yourself: What are the three most important things I want to accomplish this week? These could be work-related, personal, or even tied to your well-being. The key is to prioritize what will have the biggest impact. Too often, we mistake busyness for progress, we check off endless to-do lists but don’t feel any closer to the things that actually bring us meaning. By focusing on a few high-impact priorities, you shift from just being busy to being intentional.

And here’s the real advantage: when we give our brain clear direction, it automatically starts looking for opportunities to move us forward. This is called the Tetris Effect, when you prime your mind to focus on certain goals, you start seeing patterns and solutions everywhere. That’s why writing down your priorities isn’t just a productivity hack, it’s a way to reshape your mindset for success.

So, before your week gets away from you, take five minutes to write out what really matters. Keep your list visible, check in with it daily, and use it as a guidepost when distractions creep in. The clearer your focus, the more likely you are to end the week feeling accomplished, not just exhausted.
