This Week’s Healthy Recipe

One Pan Garlic Roasted Salmon & Brussels Sprouts

I’ve been doing a lot of reading on an anti-inflammatory diet - primarily in an effort to optimize my own health (my goal, like many, is to live as long as possible and as well as possible!).

And time and time again, the Mediterranean diet and corresponding recipes keep popping up.

Additionally, many experts recommend incorporating wild-caught salmon into the anti-inflammatory diet two to three times a week. And I’ve been on it!

So, I’ve also been on the hunt for ultra-easy salmon recipes - and this one fit the bill. It’s super easy, requires low effort, and is super tasty. What’s not to love?

So, if you’re looking to improve your mental health or overall health in general, this Garlic Salmon and Brussels Sprouts recipe is definitely one you might want to include in your weekly rotation…

One Positive Action

Turn Off Autopilot and Notice the Now

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to let the small moments blur together. We are used to the same monotonous routines like rushing through meals, multitasking, and barely noticing the day passing by. But hidden inside our most ordinary habits is an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with ourselves.

Mindful living doesn’t require meditation or a silent retreat, but a more conscious effort to turn off our ‘autopilot.’ It begins by bringing full presence to what’s already in front of you, and completing tasks with your mind fully present. Take brushing your teeth, for example, instead of scrolling or planning your next task, simply be there. Notice the cool water, the minty freshness, or how long you typically brush for.

When you slow down in this way, you begin to notice how often your mind races ahead or clings to distractions. You become more attuned to your body’s signals and your emotional state. Over time, these tiny moments of mindfulness can reduce stress, sharpen focus, and deepen your sense of gratitude for the everyday. One simple habit done with awareness becomes a ripple that gently re-centers your entire day.

Today, pick one habit you do every day without thinking and do it with full presence. Let it be your anchor, a breath of clarity in the middle of your routine. In a world that glorifies being busy and distracted, this is your way to force yourself to slow down.
