If you struggle with motivation, you aren’t alone.
Many of us can attest to moments in our lives when we’ve lacked the sufficient motivation to do something, whether that meant we left the dishes until the next morning or we failed to study adequately for that important test. We’ve all been there!

One Positive Action
Ask, Listen, Grow
Sometimes, seeing how we truly are as people can be difficult. Our strengths, blind spots, patterns, and growth areas can be hidden in our subconscious when we’re caught up in internal narratives that go unchallenged. A big part of self awareness is about being able to accept constructive criticism. When you approach criticism with intention and openness, an outside perspective will spark powerful self-awareness.
It can feel scary to ask someone, “What’s something you think I might not see about myself?” but often, the response is filled with insight and truth that can unlock new self-awareness. Whether it's something beautiful you’ve been overlooking or a habit that could use reflection, feedback helps you grow in clarity, not shame.
Choose someone you trust and let them know you're exploring self-awareness and would love their honest input. Start the conversation by saying, “What’s something about me that you think I might not be aware of?” Remember to receive their words with an open mind. Be ready to receive, not to argue, and stray away from becoming defensive.
Even if what they say feels surprising at first, give it time to settle in. Reflection can take time, and you may not experience it the moment the conversation happens. As long as you remain open and avoid becoming defensive, there is so much to gain from hearing how your loved ones view you.
