Are You Emotionally Immature? How to Tell & What to Do About It
The temper tantrum isn’t just reserved for children of a certain age.
Unfortunately, we’ve probably all encountered (or seen online) an adult throwing a full-out tantrum. Awkward, right? And like most people, you probably think, “Aren’t we a little old for this?”
Whether it's the coworker who sulks like a child when they don't get their way or the friend who blows up over the smallest disagreements (or it’s been you misbehaving in such ways), it’s safe to say that this can be exhausting as the bystander or receiver (as well as the delivery person).
And if you’re thinking that this person might be emotionally immature… well, you nailed it on the head…
Do You Need Some Tough Love? 7 Pointed Questions to Ask Yourself
Complaining is a completely normal part of human behavior.
For many of us, it’s a way to vent out our frustrations - or even a way to start to see real change in the world (as long as it’s followed by positive actions!). Yet, we all know (or have known) someone that complains a little too much.
You know the person:
The food at the restaurant is just never good enough.
Or the prices everywhere are atrocious.
Or maybe they get bothered and complain about everyone and anything they can think of it.
They fall into this habit, and boy, is it draining for those of us that hang around them. I think we can all agree it brings…

Joy Inventory: Reconnect with Your Happiness
The things that bring you joy can sometimes get pushed to the back burner. We move through the motions of everyday life without realizing how long it’s been since we truly felt lit up from the inside. A Joy Inventory is a simple but practice that helps you prioritize the things that make you feel alive, happy, and fulfilled.
The more you understand your personal sources of joy, the easier it becomes to weave them into your daily life, even in small doses. Over time, this creates more balance, inner peace, and resilience. There is no excuse not to make space for the things that make you happy.
The beauty of a Joy Inventory is that you don’t need a special journal or a long meditation session. Just sit down and list three things that bring you pure, uncomplicated joy. Think about the last time you experienced each one. Was it last week, last year, or longer ago than you'd like to admit? This is your chance to remember what makes you, you.
Write down your three things and when you last experienced them. Then, schedule time to do at least one of them this week, even if it’s just for 10 minutes. Whether it be a hike you’ve been meaning to go on, reading novels again, or another hobby you have been meaning to pick up again. Reclaim your joy, and you’ll begin to reclaim yourself.
