Stop Managing Time, Start Managing Energy: The Productivity Shift That Actually Works
How often do you feel like there are just never enough hours in the day?
No matter how much you plan and time-block, your daily to-do list always seems to spill into tomorrow.
And this can leave you feeling perpetually behind and, well, seriously stuck. That feeling that you can never “get ahead” starts to wear on you:
draining your energy
clouding your focus
making even simple tasks feel overwhelming
You’re working hard… but it never feels like enough.
But what if the problem isn’t you, but rather the way you’re managing your time?
The truth is that traditional time management tactics don’t work for everyone. In fact, merely managing your time…
5 Reasons Why You’re Always Tired and What You Can Do About It
We all have moments or days where we are tired, especially after a few days of working hard or a long trip.
This is a normal and expected response. But, when you find yourself in a state of being constantly tired, you might want to start asking yourself important questions: why am I always tired and what can I do about it?
Unfortunately, unhealthy, chronic exhaustion is not particularly uncommon. Many people experience it, and similarly, many people get over it.
This blog will explore some common reasons you might always be tired…
One Positive Action
A Risky Ask
There’s something brave (and scary) about asking for what you truly want. Our minds quickly swirl with what ifs: What if I sound needy? What if they say no? Our brains have built in alarm systems that are supposed to steer us away from scary situations. But sometimes ignoring the thoughts that act like brakes in our mind are how doors open, opportunities unfold, and confidence grows.
The fear of rejection keeps so many of us silent. However people are far more open and generous than we tend to believe. I would argue that it is a rarity if you ask something of someone and their reaction is a look of bewilderment. Most people want to help, and might even be proud that you voiced your needs. Plus, with each ask, you learn to trust your voice a little more.
You start to realize that asking doesn’t make you a burden. It makes you a participant in your own life. It says, I’m not afraid to raise my hand. I’m here. I matter. That shift in mindset ripples through your relationships, your career, and your inner dialogue. You begin to carry yourself with quiet assurance, knowing that it’s okay to need, to hope, and ask.
Today, pick one small thing you’ve been hesitating to ask for. Maybe it’s a bit of time from someone you admire, a coffee with a colleague, or feedback on something you’ve created. The goal is not to be certain that you will receive the response you are hoping for (but fingers crossed for you!), but to just be proud of yourself for asking in the first place. May this guide you towards a braver, bolder version of yourself.
