5 Reasons Why You’re Always Tired and What You Can Do About It

We all have moments or days where we are tired, especially after a few days of working hard or a long trip.

Positively Uplifting Stories | July 28 2025

Despite the hardships we face in our lives, what ultimately defines us is how we show up for one another through them.

With each act of compassion, we create space for healing. Something as simple as sharing your story or volunteering just a few hours a month could inspire others to find their way to the path of hope and healing.

The more we practice kindness, the more natural it becomes.

"Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness." - Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Let’s have a look at a few acts of kindness that are making the world a better place for everyone.

  • An organization supports the independence of children with disabilities

  • A man turns his vision into reality

  • High school teachers adopt kids to help them graduate…

One Positive Action

Stand-Up Work Session

We spend so much of our lives sitting, at desks, in meetings, behind screens, often without realizing the toll it takes on our bodies and energy (hence why we are all obsessed with counting our steps, right?). But something as simple as standing could shift your mindset, boost your focus, and even improve your health? Today’s gentle challenge invites you to stand and experience your workday from a different perspective.

A stand-up work session means dedicating at least two hours of your day to working while on your feet. Whether you use a standing desk, a high counter, or even take calls while pacing around, the key is to stay upright and present. Standing encourages better posture, increased blood flow, and a subtle yet steady boost in alertness. You will most likely have to push through some discomfort, but changing your routine while adopting some better health habits is always a win.

The benefits also go beyond the physical. When you stand, you signal to your mind that you’re showing up with energy and intention. You may notice your focus sharpen, your ideas flow more freely, and your mood lift slightly. Standing offers a sense of activation, like you’re ready to take on what’s ahead, one task at a time. It reconnects you to your body and reminds you that movement is a form of self-care.

Try setting a timer or blocking two hours in your calendar today for this experiment. Break it into smaller chunks if needed, and notice how your body and mind respond. Pair it with deep breaths, stretches, or upbeat music to make it even more enjoyable. Let this be a shift in how you care for yourself during your workday.
