5 Motivational Tips to Help You Keep Your Momentum Up

Have you ever thought that successful people are just lucky?

That maybe they got the right hands dealt to them in life?

These kinds of thoughts or beliefs may have run through your mind before, but the reality is that achieving success doesn’t have much to do with luck. Of course, having concrete goals and a solid action plan are important. Taking action is key as well.

Furthermore, you may be surprised at just how motivation plays an important role in creating success and/or making your dreams come true. Motivation is the force that keeps fears at bay and feeds fuel to your persistence fire…

One Positive Action

Start a “Museum of You”

Most of the time, we’re too focused on where we’re going to stop and appreciate where we’ve been. The "Museum of You" is a way to honor the experiences, people, and little details that make you who you are. You don’t need to designate a wing of your house or anything, just a shelf, a box, or even a digital folder where you gather reminders of what matters.

A note from an old friend, a ticket stub from a concert that changed your life, a silly doodle you made years ago, anything that sparks something real when you see it.

It’s about remembering what has shaped you. The things you’ve loved, the people who’ve influenced you, the lessons that stuck with you, these all add up to who you are. When life pulls you in different directions, when you feel lost or disconnected, these small keepsakes can remind you of what’s real. They can ground you in your own story, proof that you’ve already built something meaningful just by existing and experiencing.

You’re not curating a perfect collection, you don’t even ever need to let anyone else see it. Some things might look questionable or silly to anyone else, but they mean something to you. These aren’t just objects, they hold proof of joy, of growth, of the life you’ve built so far.

Some things will lose meaning, others will gain it. Let it evolve with you. What matters is having a space, however small, that reflects who you are and reminds you of everything you’ve lived through. Maybe looking back at what makes you, well, you will help to keep you grounded when times get tough, maybe it’ll just be a shelf of memories, but it will undeniably be you, and it will be silly, it will be wonderful, and it will be beautiful.
