Understanding Time Blindness: Read This If You're Constantly Losing Time

Have you ever lost yourself in something you love, only to glance at the clock and realize hours have passed unnoticed?

Or perhaps you've repeatedly misjudged how long tasks take, leaving you chronically rushing, feeling guilty, or misunderstood?

If this sounds familiar - either personally or through someone you care about—then you might be experiencing something called time blindness.

For me, understanding time blindness became deeply personal when my partner and I started to navigate life together. My partner has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and time blindness is a regular reality in our household…

The 9 Different Types of Meditations - Which is Best For You?

ave you ever sat down to meditate and wondered if you’re “doing it right”?

Maybe you’ve tried the peaceful-sounding guided meditation your friend swears by, only to find your mind racing faster than before you started.

Or perhaps you’ve attempted the mindfulness practice your therapist recommended, but found yourself falling asleep instead of finding clarity.

The truth is that meditation isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Just like we all have different personalities, learning styles, and preferences, we also respond differently to various meditation techniques. In other words, what works beautifully for your yoga-obsessed colleague might feel completely wrong for you.

Your Weekend Reset

Ready for a weekly reset? Try a few of these tips to unwind, connect, or get creative. We’ve got you covered to make the most of your downtime!

  • Digital Detox: You really can’t do these often enough, our minds aren’t built for constant notifications, scrolling and stimulation. All of this can lead to dopamine addiction which in turn can cause you to be unproductive and anxious. Give yourself the gift of real presence and unplug for a day, or even better, the whole weekend. Step away from the noise, reset your focus, and come back sharper, clearer, and more intentional with your energy.

  • Nature Walk: If your digital detoxing, now’s the perfect time to get outside! Take a hike, a walk in the park, or just sitting near water and feed some ducks. Breathe deep, feel the sun on your skin, listen to the sounds around you. Nature isn’t just a backdrop, it’s a tool to recharge your body and mind.

  • Creative Hobby: When was the last time you created just for fun? Pick up a paintbrush, start writing, play an instrument, whatever lets you express yourself. Creativity isn’t just for artists, it’s fuel for problem-solving, stress relief, and bringing fresh energy into your life.

  • Book Recommendation: The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer – Most people are prisoners of their own thoughts, caught in stress, self-doubt, and overthinking. This book helps you break free. Let go of the mental noise, detach from stress, and learn to live with more peace and flow. If you want to get out of your head and into the present, this is a must-read.
