Every day offers new opportunities to bring joy to others and make the world a little brighter.

One Positive Action

Single-Sentence Boundary

When you avoid a boundary, you usually also avoid naming it, which makes it feel bigger and blurrier than it really is. Setting boundaries doesn’t require long explanations, but instead, it requires admitting the truth to yourself.

Today’s practice is simple: write down one sentence that expresses a boundary you’ve been avoiding. Name the truth without the justification or long backstory.

Something short and simple like, “I need more notice before plans.” When you strip a boundary down to a single honest line, the blurriness goes away. You stop negotiating with yourself and start seeing what you actually need.

You don’t have to act on it today or even communicate it yet. The purpose is clarity. Boundaries strengthen when you name them clearly.

Write a single sentence that captures a boundary you’ve been avoiding. Let it be plain, honest, and free of excuses. Keep it somewhere you’ll see it. You may be surprised by how much shifts when you finally put truth on paper, and choose to act on your needs.
