This Week’s Mental Health Recipe
Brain Boosting Peanut Butter Protein Truffles | Mental Health Recipes
I just spent two incredible weeks in Dubai. Now, the first thing that might come to mind is how expensive Dubai can be, so my boyfriend and I were definitely looking to reduce costs here and there.
During the workweek, instead of eating out, we ordered meal prep - delivered straight to the front door. It was a really good price for the weekly packages. And every time I selected my weekly meals, I always added the Peanut Butter Protein Truffles.
After leaving, I was looking for a way to recreate these “healthy” truffles. I loved having them for a dessert; it was the perfect amount to quench my sweet tooth. And this recipe is the result of that search.
So, if you love dessert just as much as I do, but are looking to make it a little healthier, especially when it comes to your mental health, keep reading!

One Positive Action
Prioritizing Energy-Giving Activities
Our lives are so wrapped up in our work, chores and other daily duties that we often forget to make space for activities we enjoy. Every person is guilty of this. We know there is a book you swear to start reading one of these days, but have never found the time. Or that half-finished DIY project that was so exciting but life got too busy to complete. The problem is, we treat these energy-giving activities like luxuries instead of necessities, and we need to be better about making space for them.
Energy-giving activity prioritization is about identifying those specific things that consistently leave you feeling more alive, not more tired. Maybe it's a morning walk, a creative project, calling your best friend, or ten minutes in your garden. These aren't necessarily big activities, but small moments that remind you what it feels like to be energized from the inside out. Your energy-givers are deeply personal and might look completely different from everyone else's.
When you consistently make space for activities that boost your energy, you will become more focused in the mundane tasks of daily life. Tasks that usually feel overwhelming become manageable because you're working from a full tank. Taking time for these activities doesn't make you selfish; it makes you more effective at everything else. It's like charging your phone regularly instead of letting it die and scrambling for a charger.
Right now, write down five activities that consistently boost your energy. Think about moments when you've felt most alive. Once you have your five, look at today's schedule and find one spot, even just 10 minutes, where you can fit in one of these activities. Your energy is your most valuable resource, and investing in it isn't optional.
