Frozen Greek Yogurt Bark: A Sweet Way to Support Your Mood | Mental Health Recipes
Written by: Krista
I love a sweet treat, whether that’s after a full-blown meal or as a mid-morning or afternoon snack just to keep me going. And this Greek Yogurt Bark is exactly what any low-maintenance person needs (seriously).
You don’t need to get a bowl and scoop out the yogurt. You don’t even have to debate what toppings you’re choosing. Instead, you grab a piece of this bark and you have the same thing, but I’d quickly argue it’s better. (I mean no dishes, how can you compete with that?!)
It takes about 10 minutes to throw together, it freezes while you go about your day, and then it’s just there, ready whenever you need it. Toss a piece in a bag on your way out, grab one between meetings, or break off a few pieces after dinner. It’s sweet, it’s crunchy, and it honestly feels way more impressive than the effort you actually put in!
On top this, there’s a few reasons why your mental health might just thank you… So, let’s take a closer look…
One Positive Action
Trust the Unexpected
There are seasons when everything you planned doesn’t work out. You are left standing in the space between what you expected and what is actually happening. It can feel like something has gone seriously wrong.
When plans fall apart, the instinct is to panic or force a replacement. The mind wants immediate answers. It wants proof that the detour is not a mistake, but not every disruption is a failure. Sometimes it is a redirection placing you on the path you are meant to be on.
You don’t have to pretend that it doesn’t hurt when life takes a different path, but you also don’t have to fix it immediately. Sometime’s we learn the most about ourselves when we can learn to rest in the middle of what was, and what will be.
The things that are truly meant for you in life will not need to be chased. Love, purpose, your calling; all of it will find you. It aligns over time, often in ways you would not have chosen for yourself. The discomfort you feel now may be creating room for something more fitting, more honest, more sustainable than the plan you had.
Choose one situation in your life that feels unsettled. Instead of trying to solve it today, write one sentence of trust about it. Keep it simple and grounded. Read that sentence once a day this week. Let it anchor you while things unfold. Not every closed door is a loss, some are guidance and necessary redirection.
