10 Tips for a Strong Mind That Anyone Can Achieve

A strong mind means you can navigate life’s hurdles and stressors with ease and without letting those tough moments hold you back (sounds great, right?).

Your mind is powerful! It can be the difference between you completing a task or achieving a goal—or not.

Yet, if you aren’t flexing your mind, as you would any muscle in your body, it’s also easy to build walls with limiting beliefs and allow negative thoughts to spiral out of control.

Luckily, there are many ways you can become more mentally strong. The truth is the power of your mind is completely within your control. Sometimes, we just all need a little reminder and a little nudge to do the things that create a strong mind.

So, what should you be doing? How can you become mentally strong?

The Mental Health Perks of Sweet Potato Chips

If you’re looking to quench that crisps or chips craving, this one’s for you! It not only comes with a crunch but is also packed with loads of mentally supportive nutrients.

When stress and anxiety strike, our instinct often leads us to the snack cupboard.

But instead of reaching for processed chips that leave you feeling worse afterward, what if your go-to comfort food actually supported your brain chemistry and emotional well-being?

These homemade sweet potato chips deliver exactly that - a satisfying crunch with powerful nutrients that support your nervous system and your mind. So, let’s dig in…

One Positive Action

Doodle your mood:

There’s something oddly freeing about taking what you’re feeling inside and turning it into a messy little drawing. You don’t need to show anyone, and you certainly don’t need to be an artist, but just to get it out. Sometimes, what words can’t capture, a stick figure with dramatic eyebrows or a storm cloud over its head can say loud and clear. When you’re tangled up in a mood, putting it down on paper, even in the silliest, simplest way, helps release some of the tension.

What makes this so powerful is that it externalizes what’s going on in your head. Instead of your feelings swirling around in an invisible loop, you can see them, right in front of you. And when you see them, they feel a little more manageable. It’s no longer just you feeling overwhelmed, it’s a grumpy little doodle glaring back at you, and honestly, that alone can take the edge off. You might even crack a smile!

Give your mood a face, a shape, or even a whole scene if you’re feeling ambitious. If today feels like a rain cloud, draw the rain. If you’re buzzing with excitement, scribble out fireworks. There’s no right or wrong here, you’re just moving the emotion from inside your chest onto the page where you can see it more clearly.

So here’s your action: grab a scrap of paper and draw your mood right now. Stick figures, an angry lion with his mane on fire, an exhausted little potato, (←that’s me) it all counts. And if you’re feeling brave, keep these drawings somewhere safe. You might just look back later and think, Wow, that day was wild. But more importantly, you’ll see proof that moods come and go, and you always move through them.
