Top 25 Positive Affirmations to Start Your Week Off Right

Positive affirmations have been popular for a while. There’s a good reason for this.

They work.

Affirmations affirm. They shout “yes”! as positive statements that we choose to think and speak that can ultimately benefit our everyday lives.

  • Yes, you can do this

  • Yes, you can achieve what you set out to do

  • Yes, you can make a change if you set your mind to it

They can also have a significant impact on our brains, our mindset, our self-confidence and our self-empowerment.

We'll take a look at how and why practicing positive affirmations can shift you into a more positive perspective, and set you up with 25 powerful affirmations to get your week started!

One Positive Action

Look for the wins:

When you’re feeling unmotivated, lost, or stuck, it’s like your brain refuses to see anything except the gap between where you are and where you wish you were. It’s frustrating. Everything starts to feel like it’s grinding to a halt, and that voice in your head loves to chime in with, “See? You’re not getting anywhere.” But that’s not the truth. Momentum doesn’t disappear overnight, it just gets buried under the weight of everything you think you should be doing.

This is where you take a breath and bring things back to reality. Forget about the whole week or the big picture for a second. Zoom in. Look for one thing you’ve handled well in the past few days. Maybe you kept a small promise to yourself, finished something that’s been dragging on, or just showed up when you really didn’t feel like it. These moments count more than your brain wants to admit.

Our minds are wired to fixate on problems, it’s a survival thing, but you can train your brain to notice capability too. When you spot even a tiny win, you remind yourself, I am capable of handling hard things. And that reminder cracks the door open for momentum to come back in. It doesn’t flood back all at once, but it starts. You start. And that’s the whole point.

So here’s your action: grab a notebook, your phone, or even just say it out loud, what’s one thing you’ve handled well this week? Be honest with yourself. Let it be simple. Give yourself the credit, because you’ve earned it. And when that stuck feeling creeps back in (because it will), come back to this. Remind yourself that you’ve done good things already, and you’re more capable than you feel right now.
