Life is still beautiful, even with its challenges.

TODAY'S MOTIVATIONAL MESSAGE

Just for you, Friend

Regardless of the season, life will always have challenges. We’ll find ourselves feeling unpleasant emotions and worrying about the future outcomes of our decisions. The key to... Continue Reading

Yesterday’s poll:

On Sunday’s email I included a poll just for an emotional check-in to see how we’re all doing, whether you participated or not, you’re all awesome!

Reading through your comments, I could really feel the weight a lot of us are carrying. There’s definitely a shared sense of tiredness and fog, and plenty of tough moments, from health challenges and personal losses to just feeling like things are piling up. But what also came through, loud and clear, is this quiet strength in so many of you. Even on the hard days, there’s still this spark of determination, of wanting to move forward, even if it’s just inch by inch.

Wherever you’re at today, or this week, or this lifetime, some days, just getting through is enough. And even in the fog, there’s always a small step waiting when you’re ready for it. Be kind to yourself today, be kind to yourself every day, you’re doing more than you realize.

Top 25 Positive Affirmations to Start Your Week Off Right

Positive affirmations have been popular for a while. There’s a good reason for this.

They work.

Affirmations affirm. They shout “yes”! as positive statements that we choose to think and speak that can ultimately benefit our everyday lives.

  • Yes, you can do this

  • Yes, you can achieve what you set out to do

  • Yes, you can make a change if you set your mind to it

They can also have a significant impact on our brains, our mindset, our self-confidence and our self-empowerment…

Positively Uplifting Stories | April 14 2025

There are billions of people on Earth - each with their own hopes, dreams, fears, and struggles.

Every time we make the decision to reach out, and create space for connection and empathy, we contribute to a more compassionate society.

Seeds of kindness and joy can sprout even in the darkest times and unexpected places.

"The most memorable people in your life will be the ones who loved you when you were not very lovable. Remember this, and return the favor.” — H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Let’s look at a few stories from all around the world that serve to remind us of our shared humanity…

One Positive Action

Practice being okay with unfinished things:

So many of us carry the weight of unfinished things like it’s a personal failure. Loose ends, unanswered questions, conversations that still echo in our minds, we tell ourselves we need to tie it all up neatly to feel okay. But life rarely offers that kind of closure on our timeline. The truth is, part of being human is learning to live with some of that uncertainty, and recognizing that we can still move forward even when things are unresolved.

There’s a quiet kind of courage in being able to sit with incompleteness. It means trusting that time and space will do some of the work for us. It means loosening our grip, even slightly, on the things we wish were finished and knowing that our worth is not defined by how tidy or complete our days look. Letting something remain unfinished doesn’t mean we’ve given up, it means we’re allowing life to unfold at its own pace.

I’ve found that when we give ourselves permission to leave some things open-ended, we actually create more room for creativity, reflection, and even unexpected resolution. Forcing closure too soon can shut down possibilities we haven’t seen yet. Patience with the process keeps us open. And in that openness, we often discover that the need for immediate completion softens, and we breathe a little easier.

Today, choose one thing that feels incomplete but doesn’t need your energy right now. It might be a project, a decision, or a conversation you’ve been replaying in your head. Gently place it on a mental shelf (or even better just write it down so you don’t need to hold it in your mind) and give yourself permission to revisit it later. Let yourself feel the relief of not having to force a finish. There’s strength in knowing it’s okay to pause and trust that you’ll return to it when the time is right.
